Since I was so behind on mixes the last few weeks, you guys are getting two mixes this week! Consider it my Christmas gift to you all!

The mixes are all my favorite holiday songs — today’s mix is full of holiday songs (original and covers) by contemporary artists. I had to really cut down to get 10, but I think it’s a nice little collection! Let me know what you think.

The photo is my favorite Christmas ornament on our (fake) tree. We’ve had that little snowman for as long as I can remember.

So, after a brief hiatus, my weekly Mixtape Mondays are back! — and it’s Wednesday. Well… at least they’re back! The mixtapes were on hold while I was in London, so my first one back is full of tracks about my hometown, Los Angeles. (Or songs that remind me of California in general). However, it kicks off with one of my favorite songs about New York, because I had a brief stop in the Big Apple before heading back to sunny California.

Well despite the success of last week’s queued post, I did not have the foresight to queue one up for this week. It was a packed weekend — a couple shows, a wedding, out-of-town friends becoming in-town-friends, and a number of other things. So this mix comes a couple days late! Whoops!

Hope you enjoy the tunes though. I took the photo at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday, where I got to see The Bird and the Bee, She & Him, and The Swell Season. Naturally, they all make appearances on this mix as well.
