Hung out in Orange County today with Ryan and Katy!

Here is a nice picture of Walter and Ryan when we were grabbing coffee at Kéan. This is a rare photo where neither of them are pulling a stupid face. Enjoy.

Disneyland.

No better time to go to Disneyland then when it’s pouring outside! (No joke.) I’m pretty excited to see Captain EO again.

Will try to keep up with Chile/Argentina/earthquake/tsunami tweets & tumbls today, but I imagine it will be rather difficult. You know, with the awesome that is the Happiest Place On Earth. Doesn’t mean I am not thinking about what’s happened.

Good morning from Babloa Island. I’m deep in Trojan country! This is by far one of my favorite little spots in California, like the New Canaan of the West Coast. I tried to get a good pic of main street, but it just looks like a street lined with cars. You can’t see all of the cute shops and restaurants.
My whole family (grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles…) used to rent a house on Balboa Island every summer.  I miss it.  We stopped doing those kinds of vacations when we moved to New York.

I wasn’t a huge fan of going to college in Orange County, but one plus was the fact that Balboa Island was literally about a 10 minute drive down the road from my old apartment. Back in high school and junior high Pat’s mom used to rent a house for a week or two in the summer, and we’d go hang out with them the last couple days of the week. One of my favorite memories.

Balboa Bars remind me of summer. And they had the cheesiest Fun Zone on the other side of the island. The “Scary Dark Ride” was a personal favorite. Not really scary, and not particularly dark either.
